Marcus Blacke, an Aussie musician, caught the eye of Americana charting duo The Grahams while the duo was touring down under. They fell so in love with Blacke that they returned home to the states, formed a record label and launched his new album. Blacke also caught the ear of legendary producer Malcolm Burn (Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Emmylou Harris) who was so smitten with Marcus' dark and brooding sound that he not only signed up to record and produce the newcomer, he also played on the record. The result was a sound that captures the wit of Bob Dylan, the dejection of Tom Waits and the emotions of Elliott Smith. You can listen to his new single, "Master of Eden" below after the jump
