Lamb of God's Randy Blythe Talks Addiction, Depression

Many people don't know about Randy Blythe's battles with alcoholism and depression. In this YouRock interview, Blythe dives into his struggles, noting how suffering from depression doesn't always come from detrimental circumstances: "I was in a great place but I felt like I was dying. That's the component of alcoholism and depression that's really baffling to some people," says Blythe.

In the first part of our two-part interview with Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, we discuss his depression, his suicide attempt, and his experience in the psychiatric ward. He goes on to talk about how he self-medicated, and shares about how seeking support and accepting help allowed him to overcome his mental illness and alcoholism.
