Interview: Faulkner

When we last spoke you were heading to NYFW to perform at a charity show and were in the process of writing your album; now your latest album Pariahs has been released! What else have you been up to in the last year?

We’ve actually been working on new material and also performing live. We’ve also been working on a music video for our single “Hot Streak”, to be released later this spring.

Which song off of the album are you most looking forward to performing live?

How do you chose your favorite child? Really hard to do that but “Waters Are a Rising” is a straight up banger live that gets everyone going.

Two songs on the album are collaborations with famous names in the rap game, what influenced the cross-fusion?

Our love of hip hop first and foremost, as well as our admiration and respect for RZA and Royce Da 5’9”. They both elevated the band to new heights.

What was the best part of working with rappers?

Their undeniable talent and their input to our music. Their open mind and acceptance of our music.

What other artists would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Dr. Dre and Kanye West.

What plans do you have following the release of Pariahs?

Touring mostly and releasing music videos .

What are some things you hope to accomplish in the next year?

We would like to put out some more music, play as many stages as possible and not leave our foot off the gas.
