idle threat Announce New Album "you'll forget the sun"

idle threat have announced a new album titled “you’ll forget the sun.” The effort will be available on May 8 and it will include the following tracks:

01. “passing shadows”
02. “in tandem” (feat. Stephen Keech of Haste the Day)
03. “evermind”
04. “illuminated days”
05. “sequoia”
06. “glow”
07. “wither without” (feat. Garrett Russell of Silent Planet)
08. “lilies & sparrows”
09. “meet me there” (feat. Aaron Stone of My Epic)
10. “you’ll forget the sun” (feat. Christian Nielsen of Meadows)

Guitarist/vocalist Ernie Fabian commented:

“There’s a two-part meaning to ‘you’ll forget the sun.’ On one hand, the days can be so dark that you forget the sun exists. On the other hand, when we step into the presence of God—whose glory is so radiant and bright—the sun will pale in comparison. We’re pondering this dichotomy from a perspective informed by our faith and experiences. All of the hard things will eventually fade away, and we’ll be left in the presence of light.”

A video for the first single, “evermind,” can be found below. Fabian added the following about that:

“‘evermind’ attempts to express the shock and grief that accompany losing a loved one far too young. It asks deep questions that aren’t always met with answers on this earth.”
