Burial Path Share Video For “Lilitu” Feat. Abigail Bexx

Burial Path have debuted a music video for “Lilitu” featuring Abigail Bexx. Guitarist Matthew McClure said the following:

“‘Lilitu’ is about rejecting imposed identity. The song progresses through several emotions, from recognizing the oppression of imposed identity to reclaiming one’s true identity and the freedom from that imposition. This is a psalm of rejecting the ‘authority’ that imposes identity and fighting the ideology that sustains it.”

Abigail Bexx added:

“There’s a quiet pressure that comes with being a woman in extreme music. Before you open your mouth, people have already decided what you’ll sound like, what you’ll be capable of, or whether you belong at all. ‘Lilitu’ was born from that tension. It’s about every woman who’s ever felt reduced to someone else’s expectations and choosing to stand anyway.”
