Being As An Ocean Go Independent

Announced earlier today Being As An Ocean is no longer part of the Equal Vision roster. The band took to social to announce that they have bought their contract from Equal Vision and that they will be self releasing new material coming soon! There is no surprise with this announcement, it had been rumored that there was tension between the band and label. Earlier, before the scheduled release of their upcoming album, the band tweeted out  “Please direct all tweets about release date to @equalvision; they have the finished album”, fueling the rumors that were already flying. What’s your thoughts on Being As An Ocean going independent?
