Adelaide metalcore outfit Alda Sky return from a brief hiatus with a tight grasp on their sound and future with brand new single "Disintegration". To prove they're here to stay, the quintet accompany their new single with the announcement of forthcoming EP, 'A World Divided', which will be available to stream on Friday November 25.
"Disintegration" is a reflection on the world we live in and the view from here. Alda Sky highlight that when we aren’t learning from our past, our mistakes begin to define us. "Sometimes we need to look deeper at what’s happening in front of us before it’s too late," explains the band. The new single is the first to drop from forthcoming EP 'A World Divided', where the Adelaide five-piece teamed up with Chris Lalic (Windwaker) to partner their dystopian-style lyrical theme with its appropriate soundtrack.
Alda Sky explore the ever changing landscape of the world as we know it and how it affects citizens both individually and on a mass scale, placed over a heavy yet groove-filled and melodic backbone. Hailing from Port Augusta in South Australia, the quintet is Josh Badcock (vocals), Jake McDonald (guitar/vocals), Drew McDonald (guitar), Rhys Ritchie (bass/vocals) and Ben Maule (drums).
Alda Sky formed in 2011 and built a growing fan base by playing shows across the state before releasing their debut independent EP, 'Reflections' in 2017 and following this up later with their single "Unfavoured" in 2019. Hibernating during the pandemic, the group have put all their force behind their upcoming EP and are ready to hit back with 'A World Divided'.
With the world seemingly returned to familiar times, Alda Sky is ready to embark on a new era, showcasing their latest offering “Disintegration” - available now, streaming everywhere. 'A World Divided' will be out Friday November 25.
