Dear Austin Music Scene,
First off, thank you. Austin’s music scene is one of a kind and to be able to see every single bit of it play out is a wonderful thing. From the first moment I stepped foot into the Red 7 (RIP) and learned what an opener was to any and every show in Austin I go to, I see this community thrive. At any given show if you step back and look around the venue, the amount of undying support shown in a single moment will blow you away. Every way you turn you can see another musician from another band coming out to support their friends, but you know what’s even better? It’s not just music that thrives, it’s the other art forms. Seeing the music flow, the photography, the graphics, the support. It warms my heart. No matter what I do or where I go with music, I will always have the standard of what a community is that Austin has left on me.
