Fresh off a sold out Soundwave Festival and Australian tour, hard rock heroes RED FANG have announced a six week long European summer tour including numerous festival appearances.  The tour kicks off May 31st at Spain’s Sonisphere Festival and includes special appearances at Hellfest, Graspop and previously uncharted territories.  A complete listing of dates is listed below.

This marks the third time the band has set foot across the pond since the release of 2011’s critically acclaimed Murder The Mountains.  Drummer John Sherman commented on the upcoming run:

"We are super excited to get back to Europe this summer and hit some places we’ve always wanted to play, but for one reason or another were not able to - Ireland, Turkey, Iceland, and finally Poland!  And to be a part of some of the bigger festivals with huge names like IRON MAIDEN is just mind blowing.  It’s gonna be a hectic, busy, sleepless, kickass 6 week party!"

Portland, OR doom / sludge titans NORSKA (featuring members of YOB) are currently streaming their debut self-titled release via Decibel Magazine at this location. The album sees its official release on 12” vinyl today via Brutal Panda Records and is available for purchase here.  The 5 song, 40 minute debut was recorded by Adam Bradley Pike (BLACK ELK, RED FANG) at Toadhouse Studios in the band’s hometown of Portland, OR and has been called “Sludge metal with style" by About.com and “like being beaten, slowly, with sledgehammers, wielded by a crew that’s staggering relentlessly toward the brink of insanity” by No Clean Singing.  Mixing heavy, meditative riffs and a thundering rhythm section with psychedelic flourishes, NORSKA’s debut proves they are true masters of their craft.

The band is currently on tour with the mighty YOB, who also share bassist Aaron Rieseberg.  A complete listing of dates is listed below.

Southern California’s KYNG will join Danzig on tour kicking off this weekend! The dates come on the heels of a sprawling 8-week tour with Clutch and Hellyeah. Following the dates with Danzig, KYNG will stop in Atlantic City for Metallica’s Orionfest on June 23-24 prior to hitting the road with 10 years. Metallica frontman James Hetfield recently sung the band’s praises after discovering them through Sirius XM program director Jose Mangin, who has championed KYNG since hearing early demos a few years ago. Details on the dates are below, but stay tuned for another big tour announcement for KYNG next month as well.

Kyng released their debut record Trampled Sun last fall on REALID Records (through Independent Label Group). The new single “I Don’t Believe” is pushing Top 30 at Active Rock Radio and continues to climb while first signle “Falling Down” saw heavy airplay at Sirius XM’s “Octane” and “Liquid Metal” channels. SiriusXM was instrumental in bringing the band to what became their record label (REALID/Independent Label Group) and managers (In De Goot, who also represents Shinedown, Chevelle and others).

KYNG’s self-proclaimed “California Heavy” sound is a unique and universally appealing combination of heavy and captivating concepts, channeling influences from Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin to Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. KYNG is trio, Eddie Velix (guitar and vocals) Tony Castaneda (bassist and vocals), and Pepe Clarke Magaña (drummer).
