Alexisonfire are reuniting after a three year hiatus. They'll be playing the above shows with US dates to be announced soon. I think the US dates may be Vans Warped Tour, minus Toronto.
Alexisonfire announced that they will release a limited edition pressing of 1000 copies of this vinyl box set that includes long out of print titles and recordings never before available on vinyl that span the entire career of the band. Available 12:01AM EST on December 25, 2013.
Over a year in the making, the custom-designed box set includes audiophile re-pressings of each Alexisonfire studio release, coveted long out-of-print albums and never before pressed titles. The entire set has been pressed on heavyweight 180g vinyl, almost entirely mastered at 45rpm. The collection includes a never before heard remaster, by Nick Blagona at Jukasa Studios, of the debut album Alexisonfire and two bonus tracks recorded during the Death Letter session. To accommodate the double vinyl pressings, the original artwork has been redesigned in gatefold format.
The box set will also feature other exclusive extras including a slipmat and 45 adapter with a trademark heartskull and a photo booklet curated by photographer Dustin Rabin containing photos from the band’s final shows in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario in December, 2012. Special custom shipping packaging has been designed to protect the box set contents. A digital download link, that includes high quality MP3s, will be delivered with purchase.
Vagrant Records are looking for some new fall interns and going to try something new and let interns work from home
Job Description: We’re looking to add some new interns for this fall semester to aid the new media department here at Vagrant. This can be a “virtual internship” and does not require you to come into the office. All communication can be done via phone, Skype, etc. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Social networking profile maintenance and updating (i.e. Facebook, Myspace, Vagrant website, etc.) for artists and label
- News postings on various online outlets
- Maintenance of label content channels (ie Youtube, Vimeo, Soundcloud)
- Researching new websites and opportunities for artists and label
- Compiling online press reports
Job Requirements:
- MUST be at least 18 years of age
- MUST be able to contribute at least 15 hours/week
- MUST have some working knowledge of social networking profiles like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube
- MUST have your own laptop to work on
- MUST have a good attitude
- CSS and HTML skills a plus
- Photoshop and Dreamweaver knowledge a plus
This is an excellent introduction to the music industry. You’ll get to work with some cool people and have perks like free CDs and other swag. If you need any sort of college credit we offer that as well.
