After the departure of longtime drummer, Moe Carlson, Protest The Hero enlisted Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler to fill the position for the recording of their forthcoming album, Volition. Now with extensive touring on the horizon, the band has decided to fill the slot permanently with Mike Ieradi. Here is the statement from the band:

"Finding a new drummer has proven to be a tough task!  We had interest and video submissions from many friends, fans, and family alike (yes, Choadie’s mom sent in a video of her ripping "c’est la vie!").  Every single one of those submissions was wonderful - but we realized it was going to be impossible to select a drummer based on a YouTube video.  We needed someone who we knew.  Someone who we thought we wouldn’t murder and leave at the side of the road two weeks into tour.  We think we have found that person in Mike Ieradi - a Canadian fella we met many moons ago

Protest The Hero have uploaded a new song from Volition called “Drumhead Trial for you all peeps to hear. Listen to it below

Although it was not our initial intention to release this song next… we have put up an official copy of “Drumhead Trial” for you guys to hear. We heard a bunch of terrible versions of this on youtube after it aired on radio in the US. If you had the misfortune of hearing one of these monstrosities - our sincerest.

Hopefully you can at least rip your heartless comments on a version that sounds a little better. I hope you are all happy - the people have won this round ha! This song features our friend Kayla Howran ripping some vocals toward the end! It also features Ron Jarzombek destroying Luke in a trade-off guitar solo!

Enjoy.

Affiance has launched an IndieGoGo campaign. You view a message and video from the band below

Hey everyone! AFFIANCE here and we’re calling to our warriors for some help. We have recently run into some transportation troubles over the summer on our tour with Killswitch Engage and got taught some valuable lessons on how to tour smart! Due to breaking down multiple times, leaving the van behind to finish the tour, having horrible luck with our beat up trailer and growing so fast; we absolutely need a new Affiance-mobile to keep us on the road and safe. Please watch the video above and help out however you can, whether it’s donating or spreading the word about our campaign. We are hitting the road this fall with Protest The Hero, Architects, and The Kindred and we want to make sure we make it to every show safe. Make sure to check out the cool perks because we wanted to make every dime donated worthwhile.
