Northern California based post-rock experimentalists State Faults have officially signed with No Sleep Records with plans to release their sophomore full length album in 2013.

When I was sent a link to State Faults’ recent LP Desolate Peaks I literally said “holy shit this is amazing” and had to get them on No Sleep ASAP,” says No Sleep president Chris Hansen.  “I can’t wait to see what comes together for their No Sleep debut LP.”

"We couldn’t be more excited about working with No Sleep!,” adds drummer Jared Wallace.  “This band has been our passion from the very start.  We want nothing more than to write music and share it with all of our friends on the road.  From our very first visit with the guys at No Sleep, we could tell that they are just as passionate and excited about all of that as we are.  We’re extremely optimistic for our future with them!"

In the summer of 2010 two Northern California natives Jonny and Jared, free from the constraints of school, full time jobs or their previous musical endeavors, began crafting music under the moniker Brother Bear.  Before long the two-man outfit expanded into a full fledged band who’s release of the EP Head in the Clouds soon gained a dedicated following online.  Word of mouth continued to spread as they took to the road and began establishing themselves among the growing “wave” of screamo revivalists such as Pianos Become the Teeth and Loma Prietta.

Flash forward to 2012 and the band, now operating as State Faults, find themselves enjoying much critical acclaim following the release of their debut Full Length Desolate Peaks under the east coast indie label Tiny Engines earlier in the year.  The group’s unique take on modern “screamo” coupled with their energetic live performances and tightly knit connection with their growing fan-base continue to amass loyal supporters extending from all corners of the US.  Now with a new year on the horizon, State faults look to expand their musical reach even further as they set to partner up with No Sleep Records on what will eventually become their Second LP.

No Sleep Records is proud to welcome London based hardcore-punks TRC to the label’s burgeoning eclectic roster with plans to release their new album this fall.  Fans can get an early taste of what’s to come by checking out the band’s video for their latest single, “#TEAMUK”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ax5GIzAHNsw.

TRC are the embodiment of London Hardcore. For the past 7 years, the group has reinvigorated the London Underground with their unique blend of hardcore/metal crossover, UK grime and hip-hop. Born out of the grey, concrete jungle of inner city London, the band has their eyes set on U.S. now with their new label No Sleep Records.
“Ever since i started No Sleep i have been looking for a good mix of Hardcore and Metalcore to bring to this label, and when my good friends from another Southern California label showed me TRC I fell in love,” says No Sleep president Chris Hansen.  “They create what i think is a perfect blend of Hardcore, Metalcore (and a dash of The Streets - an all-time fave of mine) with a hint of British cockiness that i love.  It is completely different from everything on the label, just like everything on the label - and that is a good thing.”
"What does it mean to us?  Quite a bit,” comments the band’s vocalist Chris Robson.  “We’re a band from London, England and the fact that our music has even made it off our shores still actually amazes me, but to have a label from another continent show some interest and GET what we’re doing?  Well, that just blows my mind.  If I’m honest, I had never heard of No Sleep records before we got the initial email - I checked them out - And I was genuinely excited.  With such an eclectic range of recording artists, it was hard not to be… Once the dust settles, and the wheels are fully in motion, I can’t wait to get out there and show you exactly how we do it, and hopefully keep the door open so you can check out some of the other talent from the UK.  We’re bursting at the seams, so it was only a matter of time before we took the invasion overseas.  If you get it, you get it - If you don’t, you don’t - We’re not everyone’s cup of tea back home, but maybe we can be your cup of coffee… #TEAMUK."
Recent singles in the UK “Go Hard Or Go Home” and “H.A.T.E.R.S” have put the band under the spotlight and heralded by BBC Radio 1 and mainstream music press alike as being the pioneers of a new wave of UK hardcore. Latest single “#TEAMUK” earned the band a nomination at the 2012 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award as Best UK Band and cements their unique sound as the most exciting thing to happen to rock music in a long time.
Famous for their imaginative videos, notorious for their dangerous live shows, the band has gone from strength to strength over the past year. TRC recently completed tour dates with acts as diverse as Gallows, The Acacia Strain and Lower than Atlantis, and have blown away at mainstage appearances on Hevy Fest and a slot at Download Festival last year and many more.

This the year TRC will be the name on everyone’s lips. This year The Revolution Continues.
