Having completed a triumphant headline run on this summer’s Van’s Warped Tour, Chiodos have entered the recording studio this week to begin work on their forthcoming new album. The band have chosen producer David Bottrill to helm the new record which will be tracked at Dreamland Studio in Woodstock, NY.
The new Chiodos album will be released in 2014 through a newly created, band label imprint via Razor & Tie.
Razor & Tie is thrilled to announce the addition of influential post-hardcore giants Chiodos to its worldwide label roster. The band is currently well into the writing process of their forthcoming new studio album which will be released through a newly created band label imprint via Razor & Tie.
Craig Owens comments, “We’re very excited to be working with Razor & Tie. The label is one that we as a band have looked to as a source of integrity filled rock music for some time now. Having our own imprint gives us the opportunity to be as creative as we choose, while also giving us a way to get it to the fans in a direct and focused way. This will be the first time we have released music together, since 2008. To say that we are anxious is an understatement.”
Ionia, the 5-piece melodic indie post hard core band is pleased to announce their upcoming tour "WINTOUR 2013" with Saint Diablo. Ionia, hailing from New York City, is comprised of five socially and economically conscious musicians who are dedicated to their craft and determined to bring their sound to the masses. ionia has had the pleasure of playing Warped Tour, Taste of Chaos, CMJ, Dewey Beach Music Conference, Rockpalooza, and has had the privilege of opening for major label bands; We Came As Romans, Close To Home, Puddle of Mudd, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, I See Stars, blessthefall, Smile Empty Soul, The Devil Wears Prada, Falling in Reverse, Chiodos, and many more.

Pennsylvania post-hardcore 6-piece I AM KING has signed with Velocity/Rise Records. Formed out of the Lehigh Valley in early 2010, I AM KING humbly offers a message of truth and hope with their music, while reminding their listeners the harsh reality of choosing to face both the truth and yourself. The band’s self-titled and self-released EP dropped last month and was recorded with Taylor Larson (Periphery, Sky Eats Airplane, I the Breather). The band will enter the studio later this year to record their label debut with an anticipated release in spring 2013.
“The first time I heard I Am King, I instantly knew there was something special about them. I’ll never forget that first show i saw them at (Starland Ballroom). I knew it wasn’t just studio magic, but that it was real. What they had was authentic and genuine. I see nothing but amazing things in their future,” says Velocity Records founder Dave Shapiro.
Co-vocalist Sam Sky says, “From the beginning we had our eye on Velocity and now we have Dave Shapiro behind us along with Rise. It’s a dream come true for us. Cincinnati, Ohio based Belle Histoire has announced that their debut full length “Dreamers” is completed and will be in stores July 17, 2012. The new album is a follow up to their EP titled “I Can Tell” that came out in February of 2012 and received nearly perfect reviews from a number of reviewers.
