No Sleep Records’ founder/president Chris Hansen and partner Madison Parry have created a new apparel company called Cultus. Launching December 1st, the clothing line will feature a selection of shirts, hoodies and crew necks for men and women that will be designed by Hansen, Parry and various friends including graphic artist Tyler Guidry.
“Cultus Brand started as an idea, and kind of just evolved from there,” says Parry. “It feels as though it happened overnight. We decided if we are going do this clothing line, we were going to dive in, and give it our all. And that’s just what we have been doing. We are very dedicated to this project, and are extremely passionate about what we are creating here. We want to create clothes we want to wear, our friends would wear, and people will love. We have so many ideas, and are so lucky to work with some really amazing, and talented people. There is a lot more to come from Cultus, this is just the beginning.”
Warner Bros. Records has announced that it will make a series of vinyl albums and singles available on "Black Friday", November 29th. In the past, Black Friday was an American event created by large corporate retailers as a shopping day that promoted mass-produced items at super-low prices in hopes of driving customers into their stores.
RSD’s Black Friday subverts the model and creates pieces of art in the form of limited special editions, often numbered, from a diverse list of beloved artists. RSD’s version of Black Friday is an excuse to celebrate not only the great music but the pieces themselves and the special independent record stores who exclusively carry them.
Warner Bros. Records - a proud official sponsor of Record Store Day - will make available the following special releases:

Hard-working Michigan punks The Swellers are back with a new studio album — “The Light Under Closed Doors” — and Billboard has an exclusive first listen at their latest bunch of driving anthems.
Spencer will be filling in for Taking Back Sunday lead singer Adam Lazzara for an indefinite amount of upcoming tour dates starting with the Melbourne, FL show TONIGHT, Friday, October 25th.
This comes after Adam Lazzara had to leave the tour on Sunday when his wife unexpectedly had an early delivery of their second son. After cancelling a few tour dates, the band has decided to continue the tour with Spencer Chamberlain until Adam can rejoin.
Spencer Chamberlain, a long-time friend of Adam, has willingly stepped up to fill in and give the new father more time to stay in the hospital with his family. Spencer was the frontman of Underoath for 10 years and is currently working on a new project called Sleepwave. The band is excited to have him and look forward to Spencer and John trading lead and backing vocals at the upcoming shows. First up will be the Free FIT Homecoming show this Friday in Spencer’s home state of Florida. You can find more information on Sleepwave at sleepwavemusic.com.
It is unknown when Adam will return to the tour, but he is so thankful to Spencer and whole-heartedly thanks everyone for all of the support and kind words the family has received.
