After teasing their fans mercilessly for over a week, IMPENDING DOOM have finally revealed the first track off their upcoming LP. The new track, entitled “Death Will Reign" is the title track from the new record. "Death Will Reign" will be released via eOne Music on November 5th, 2013.

“We wanted this album to sound very natural and unpolished,” explains longtime bassist David Sittig, a part of the lineup since before the first album’s release. “There’s no crazy digital stuff. There are no fake drums. We wanted it to have the feel of our first album with the songwriting from the last one. We’ve gotten better at song structures and so forth over the years, but we wanted to recapture that old-school vibe, too.”

Today the band premiered the lyric video for “Piece By Piece” at RevolverMag.com, and last night Jose Mangin uncorked the band’s riotous drinking anthem “No Good Story Ever Starts With Drinking Tea” on SiriusXM Liquid Metal.

Influential rock band Story of the Year are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their celebrated, landmark album, Page Avenue, with the release of a new acoustic, re-imagining of the record called Page Avenue: Ten Years and Counting, which is due out on October 8th.

In anticipation of the upcoming release, the band has premiered the first new music, a striking, acoustic rendition of their hit rock radio anthem “Until the Day I Die,” today at AltPress.com.
“”Until The Day I Die” is one of the biggest songs of our career,” says singer Dan Marsala.  “It’s a song that really connects with a lot of people.  We wanted this version to be an intimate and mellow take that would be a good platform for the lyrics to really shine through.  It’s a classic relationship song and this laid back vibe really fits it well.”

“Creatively speaking, one of our main goals for Ten Years and Counting was to fully utilize the piano and allow it to be the driving presence & focal instrument within these songs, as opposed to just recording a couple of acoustic guitars and throwing a vocal on top,” adds guitarist Ryan Phillips.  “This version of “Until the Day I Die” strongly exemplifies that mindset and allows the song to open up and breath, giving a stronger focus on the lyrics and vocal melodies. I’m pretty stoked on it, especially toying with arrangement a bit and adding a little guitar solo. Fun.”
