Dinosaur Jr will be releasing the second single to be taken from their new album “I Bet On Sky” on November 5th.  Entitled ‘Pierce The Morning Rain’, It follows the release of the 6 Music A listed single ‘Watch the Corners’ and comes to us via Play It Again Sam.

The track, which debuted at SPIN.com is a song that Mojo described as doesn’t so much open the throttle as push it gloriously through the floor”.
‘I Bet on Sky’ was released on September 17th 2012 and is the third Dinosaur Jr. album since the original trio – J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph – reunited in 2005. It marks the band’s 10th studio album since their debut on Homestead Records in 1985.  The Guardian commented “Wistfulness aches at its heart” whilst the Observer noted “there’s plenty of life in them yet”. Artocker described it as “bursting with guitar-driven melodic brilliance” and Classic Rock as “Cranked-up sadcore from the Robert Smith of sludge metal.”  Uncut thought that the band were  still a compelling a mix of hardcore, jangle pop, country and speed metal as it was 25 years ago”whilst Kerrang said “these dinosaurs won’t be extinct any time soon.”

Following a successful run of European festival appearances over the summer the band will kick off a massive tour next week in Toronto that will end in December with a 25th anniversary celebration at Terminal 5  in New York, of ‘You’re Living All Over Me’. The show will feature Special Guests Kurt Vile and the Violators and what we can only reveal right now as Very Special Friends. UK dates will be announced shortly!

MELDRUM’S latest single, ”PAID” is available now on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/paid-single/id564528537). ”PAID” is the third single to be released from MELDRUM’s long awaited third album ”LIFER” due out this fall via REVERSED RECORDS.  ”PAID” is a tongue in cheek poke at the music industry and the one hit wonders that think they have it made.   MELDRUM vocalist Michele Madden has this to say about the single ”A warning to the wanna be’s not to mix their ambition with their blinding lack of ability…just sayin”.

MELDRUM’s first two singles ”A TOAST TO ROMANCE” and ”BLACKENED BLUE” are out now on iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/a-toast-to-romance-single/id549289572). The album was produced by producer/engineer ROB SHALLCROSS (Strapping Young Lad, GWAR, Zimmers Hole, West of Hell) and GENE HOGLAN (Testament, Dethklok, Death, Dark Angel). Check out MELDRUM online at http://www.facebook.com/MeldrumOfficial

”PAID” is streaming now at: http://soundcloud.com/meldrummusic/03-paid MICHELLE MELDRUM passed away at the age of 39 in May 2008. “LIFER” stands as a proud tribute to MICHELLE and her lifetime commitment to creating and performing music. MICHELLE wrote the material for the album with drummer GENE HOGLAN (Testament, Death, Dark Angel, Dethklok), along with new members bassist/guitarist LAURA CHRISTINE (Warface) and vocalist MICHELE MADDEN (Tourette’s).

MICHELLE’S untimely demise before any of her guitar tracks for “Lifer” were able to be laid down led the three remaining members to come together in tribute to her, to honour Michelle’s vision of the album, with Laura Christine playing the majority of the rhythm and bass guitars, as well as all the leads. Partial proceeds from the album will go to MICHELLE’S son Jake Thomas who she left behind when she passed.

MELDRUM has toured worldwide with Lemmy Kilmister’s Motorhead, Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society, Sepultura, Danzig, Nashville Pussy, as well as sharing the stage with many more. Touting a combination of mammoth vocal styles along with aggressively melodic vocals, mind bending guitar riffs and a rhythm section that creates fiercely bombastic grooves, this is what gives MELDRUM their unique, cutting edge sound.

San Diego death metal band PATHOLOGY has released their third and most impressive Victory Records’ album, The Time Of Great Purification, out today! Fans can expect to hear thirteen gut wrenching tracks with piercing vocals and brutal riffs. Drummer Dave Astor previously stated, “This is definitely our heaviest and most technical album to date”.

Recorded in San Diego, California with Daniel Castleman of Lambesis Studios, The Time Of Great Purification is about the end of the world amongst other conspiracies. The album features artwork by Par Olofsson, creator of the cover art for their last two albums, Legacy Of The Ancients (7/06/10) and Awaken To The Suffering (9/13/11). The concept is simple: the Doctor is masterminding the 2012 apocalypse and taking over the world.

PATHOLOGY-The Time Of Great Purification is in stores now at FYE, Best Buy, Hastings and your favorite local independent store; order your copy here today. The album is also available digitally at iTunes/ AmazonMP3. Watch their new video “Tyrannical Decay” here and stay tuned for upcoming touring plans.
