For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Feverwar? How long has the band been around?

It’s really always been some form of the band we have now. Excluding a couple random member changes here and there. So we’ve all been playing in bands for a handful of years, but together as Feverwar, going on 3.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

So we used to be called “Goodbye Utah” and for obvious reasons we got pretty over that name. We just matured as a band in a few different ways and wanted to take a more serious route in how we could be perceived. Honestly we were just tossing name ideas around with our manager and sticking words together, and Feverwar was it!

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Everyone writes together usually. Taking care of their own parts, and then meshing them all together at some point. As for themes of the songs, it’s the cliche “life experiences” answer. We take things we’ve been through, or are going through, and will go through. As time progresses, so we will we, and so will the music.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

Just about anything you could name inspires one of us in some way. From 80’s hair metal, to Buckcherry (actually) all the way to country music.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

There wasn’t ONE moment that did it for us collectively really. But we of course loved bands like The Chariot and Every Time I Die, who would seemingly do anything in their music and we took a lot from that. Sort of opened us up to a more “no boundaries” way of approaching the music we make. Don’t just try and fit in with “the scene” mold, ya feel?

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

Flexing and exercises are things we totally SHOULD do. However it’s more in the realm of tossing a few more drinks back (or cracking open a new one that’s stage ready) or some other forms of “relaxing” that include herbs and stuff. It’s secret.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

While it’s not a direct thing, just seeing how our shows have grown over the last year has been rad to see. It’s a highlight in a way that more and more kids care about the Feve, so watching that happen is awesome.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Motley Crue would be one of the first that come to mind. Mainly to see who parties harder.
Current day though there’s honestly SO many bands we’d love to share the stage with for a tour. Bands like Every Time I Die, our boys in Left Behind, Knocked Loose. Oh and we heard there’s this other band called “The Fever” rolling around out there…so the ultimate fever-tour is a must.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Just a thanks for the interview, and big shouts to everyone listening, supporting and spreading the fever.
