Fall From Everest is four misfits from Prague playing an energetic and furious mix of emo, post-hardcore and electronica.

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Fall From Everest? How long has the band been around?

We've been in this current setup for 3 years but we were trying to work things out 2 years before that. Sádlo and Jidáš are still currently members of Saved By The Fortune a Prague based alternative post-hardcore band.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

What band's name represent is the act of falling from the naturally tallest possible place or what the peak represents. It's the moment of understanding inevitable end that moves us toward the end. Also, we thought it was really cool.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Jiří writes most of the music and Filip with Sádlo are inseparable part of the process. Most of the lyrics come from Jidáš, who likes to put it in story perspective and a concept. Most of the topics revolve around his life, he is often using citations that keep the lyrics very authentic.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

We like to get inspiration from all the stuff we listen to, love or find interesting. Influences come from bands like Enter Shikari, The Devil Wears Prada to contemporary pop, grime or synthwave.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

I think it was just the necessity to do music. We always wanted to spark our own thing.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

We do some short music related exercises and abit of stretching, shit can go crazy very fast on stage.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Almost selling out one of the major venues in Prague - Archa theater and being able to support it with video mapping. It was a blast to look at!

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

There are so many! We are trying to get in touch with Set To Stun as we think that would be real fun band to tour with!
