10. Pittsburgh - The Amity Affliction
The song’s title ‘Pittsburgh’ is a reference to lead singer Joel Birch’s near death experience during Vans Warped Tour, near Pittsburgh. Due to extreme dehydration and too much alcohol, Joel collapsed and suffered a seizure, even stating in an interview that he “went blue and [his] heart stopped”. (Source )
9. Perfect - Simple Plan
A song about living up to the expectations of your father. Many fathers push their sons too hard and never tell their sons that they are proud because they believe that it will make their sons soft to do so. However, in this song, the singer laments his lack of paternal approval. (Source )

The opening track to Underoath’s underrated record, Disambiguation features the band getting assaulted by a deluge of water.
7. Karma - Parkway Drive
The song speaks of the power and strength to stand against everything and fight. The narrator (vocalist Winston McCall) says that no matter what pulls him down and what causes him to fall – he gets up. (Source )
