Jimi Hendrix Remains Legendary, but Which Live Band Blew Him Away?

Voodoo Child, Purple Haze, All Along the Watchtower, The Wind Cried Mary, Little Wing, and Machine Gun – among many, many others – uphold Jimi Hendrix as a force in the music industry even this many decades after his death. His skill as a guitarist and songwriter is legendary, and many hold him up as one of the gods of rock music.

Knowing his craft exceedingly well, Hendrix always thought it necessary to go out and find new and inventive music to help fuel his own creativity. Naturally, this would lead him to live music events often. One band, according to his bandmates, blew him away, ranking as the best live band Hendrix ever saw.
