Lonely Ghost Records has a new split in time for Halloween that does a great job showcasing what the label is all about. From the immediately visceral scuzzy punk of Meat Jelly, to the lush psychedelic soundscapes of Superdestroyer, and the intensely hooky emo-grunge stylings of Funeral Homes, this is genre-less DIY; these artists care more about how it was made than what type of genre you decide to call it. The label is already calling comparisons to the 80's underground DIY punk ethos (substance over style, ala SST/Touch and Go) keep an eye out for Lonely Ghost Records going forward.
