Show Review: Animals As Leaders - The Joy of Motion X Tour (Cleveland, OH)

The following took place between 8pm and 11pm. Events occurred in real time.

7:30pm

Arrived too early. 30 minutes, to be in fact. It was unfortunate having to overhear the neckbeards pontificating, but alas. It was like a real life comment section come to life!

7:35pm

I regret leaving those joints in my car…

7:55pm

Why is the in-house music between bands always so awful?

Plini:

The instrumental rocker from down under wooed the crowd over with fan favorites and a few new songs. The moon crescent added a nice touch to his backdrop while playing. He seemed a bit peeved about the initial crowd reaction but was overall receptive while saying goodbye at the end of his set.

Animals As Leaders:

Tosin looked like a jacked version of Morpheus and Javier looked like Del from Ozark. I remember playing this album on my iPod Classic back in the day. (I’m old, Yusuke). As expected, the band put on a wonderful display of musicianship playing the album front to back. During their encore, the band played a beautiful rendition of The Brain Dance from their 2018 record, The Madness of Many.
