STREAM: Copeland - Ixora

Copeland are streaming their new album, Ixora, on Spotify.

The music on Ixora -- which is titled after a type of tropical flower found in Florida -- is a logical continuation of Copeland's emotional and atmospheric melodies. Aaron's lyrics, however, represent a more mature take on life. "My life is drastically different as a 34-year-old dude married with two kids than it was as a homeless band dude with a lot of young person drama," the singer says. "A lot of it's about my kids, my life and my family, and dealing with all of the mental issues that come with becoming a parent. There's a happy-sad tone to it all, which has always been true of our music. It's just less love songs than it used to be. In my mind, these lyrics are some of the best I've ever written."

Periphery Premiere "The Scourge"

Periphery premiered “The Scourge,” a new song from the highly anticipated dual album releases, Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega, via Revolver.

“After a year of hard work on our two new albums, Juggernaut: Alpha and Juggernaut: Omega we’re excited to be able to share the first look at music from either album,” said guitar player Mark Holcomb. “‘The Scourge’ shows off a darker, more brooding side of the first album, Alpha, and it touches on some of the melodic and lyrical themes referenced throughout the two albums. Enjoy!”

Every Time I Die’s Keith Buckley Writing A Novel

Keith Buckley wrote a semi-autobiographical novel which is set to release Winter 2015.

Ray Goldman will outdrink you, out-party you and, unfortunately for him, probably outlive you. As a hopeless and struggling indie rock musician, Ray's best chance of discovering any beauty and purpose in his dysfunctional life will come only when he ceases to struggle against life itself. These are his memoirs.

SCALE chronicles Ray Goldman’s journey downward through the adversarial trials that sometimes prove necessary in facilitating an eventual ascent into truth and happiness. The odd chapters of the novel find Ray, now a 31-year-old guitar player, seeking fulfillment in the wake of a life-altering tragedy while the even chapters see him reflecting on the depravity and selfishness that hastened his descent towards it. SCALE is about the relationship between instability and balance, death and resurrection, perception and reality, but ultimately it is about the endless war waged between our disquieted minds and our noble hearts.

Faith No More Premiere New Single, "Motherfucker"

Rolling Stone are streaming Faith No More's first new single since 1997’s Album of the Year.

“It feels apt that the first track we’re releasing is ‘Motherfucker,’ a song about accountability,” explained Roddy Bottum. “Basically we’ve created, recorded and mixed a new body of work by ourselves and we’re releasing it on our own label. It’s a huge deal for us to only have ourselves to answer to at this point in our career and the song is about that, where the buck stops via the basic imagery of foie gras production, bondage… y’know, stuff like that.”
