Los Angeles experimental rockers Silver Snakes will be on tour supporting HRVRD from July 16-21. The band’s latest release, Pictures of a Floating World is out now on Animal Style Records. The follow up The Year of the Snake will be out later this year.
Imminence Records most recent signing Claps For Caroline has recently finished their Imminence Records debut EP and to celebrate the band has released the lyric video for their recent single, entitled Vixen, HERE. The new EP is expected to be released later this summer with the band releasing more details as the release gets closer.
Finnish hardcore heroes UNKIND have released a new track “Valtakunta” from their forthcoming album ‘Pelon Juuret’ via MetalSucks here. MetalSucks muses if Unkind has created yet another new sub genre of extreme music, “blackened d-beat.” “It’s like fighting against a strongman whose fists are made of fire, so you not only get pummeled, but also burned to a blackened crisp,” they say.
Following a successful spring run supporting Clutch and an upcoming tour of Europe and the U.K, The Sword announce today a 25 date U.S. and Canadian tour July 25th to August 23rd. The tour will be the first to visit Canada in support of the band’s fourth album Apocryphon available now on the iTunes store. Support acts for all dates will be Castle and American Sharks. Featuring an acting role from top model Elise Crombez, the film was directed by twisted genius Joe Vanhoutteghem and shot by Nicolas Karakatsanis who was nominated for an Oscar for his work on the acclaimed film ‘Bullhead’. It’s a brilliantly black humoured piece of cartoon noir that you will rarely find outside of a European art-house cinema/DVD collection.
Following the release of their debut UK album, ‘Rats’, Balthazar have appeared at The Great Escape, sold out London’s Borderline and embarked on their first UK tour. With the album finding praise across the board, Artrocker stating ‘Rats’ ‘could easily be their breakthrough’ and Q suggesting that the album will ‘delight lovers of the dark and the intense’, the band return for further UK appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals over the August Bank Holiday.
Death Cab for Cutie has announced an additional front-to-back performance of Transatlanticism. The show will take place at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR on August 31st in addition to the band’s Bumbershoot set in Seattle the next day.
Virginia Beach hard rockers PILLBUSTER have released their new single ‘Revery’ for purchase via iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and most other digital outlets. ‘Revery’ is cut from the band’s upcoming self-titled album, hitting stores on August 6, 2013 via Stonerkill Records.
