Kill the Music caught up with Youth in Revolt frontman True Arahill after the band closed out the Ernie Ball Stage at Vans Warped Tour in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He confirmed the rumors of a new album being released in the Fall and even revealed how it will differ from their debut EP, Love is A Liar's Game.  This is the first year that Youth in Revolt has been on the tour and True reflected on his experiences so far.

KTM:  What has been your favorite Warped Tour memory?

True:  Uh, Let's see.  Actually, honestly today.  Seeing Waka Flocka Flame performing today was sick!  That was one of the coolest moments on Warped so far.

KTM:  What piece of advice do you have for new bands coming on to Warped Tour?

True:  Definitely use social media.  It's very crucial to raising your fan base.  Also, I would say be prepared to work hard.  Warped Tour is not just a party.  You have to get up everyday at 8 a.m. and get out there.  There is a huge misconception that it's just a party out here but there is a lot of hard work that goes into it.  People party because they are celebrating being here.   Make sure that you have a good following, that there is hype behind you, work hard, and really try to get out there and meet everybody.  There are like 15,000 people here every day and most likely half of them don't know your band.  There are a lot of potential fans out there.

KTM:  Do you have any tips for those potential fans coming to Warped?

True:  Drink a lot of water.  There are a lot of people dehydrating.  Use a lot of sunscreen.  You would think that people would realize that by now but I see people overheating.  It's important to drink at least 5-8 bottles of water a day.  Make sure you don't dehydrate because you are here to have fun.  Also, parents get in for free so if your parents want to come they can.  There is a bar where they can hang out all day if they don't want to listen to music.

KTM:  There have been rumors of a new album.  Do you have plans to release new music or tour after Warped?

True:  Yes.  We have a new album coming out.  It will be released most likely in the Fall.  We are also doing a Fall tour to support the album.  Dates haven't been released.

KTM:  Is there anything that you want your fans to know about Youth in Revolt?

True:  You should go pick up the new record in the Fall.  We are heading to California soon to shoot a new music video so watch for that.  Please tell your friends about us!  We are trying to get out there as much as we  can.  It's tough these days.  You have to be on a big label or have a big YouTube channel following.  If you know anyone who wants to listen to new music send them our way.  We have a lot of new stuff coming.  It's definitely more rock and less on the screaming side.  You might enjoy it if you aren't usually into this kind of music.

You can catch Youth in Revolt on the last few dates of the Warped Tour and look for more exciting announcements in the Fall.
