Warrel Dane (Nevermore, Sanctuary) has sadly passed away. The vocalist was working on a new solo album in São Paulo, Brazil, when he had an apparent heart attack. His guitarist Johnny Moraes commented to UOL:

“He died in the night, he had a heart attack, he was in the apartment where he stayed while recording the album, when it happened. I did a cardiac massage, we called the SAMU, who arrived very fast, but when they arrived he was already dead.”

He also added:

“His health was already very weak because of his diabetes and his problems with alcoholism. He was already facing a lot of health problems.”
