Jake Wrate(me): Vocals, Drums. 
Alex Hannon: Guitar, Bass, Vocals

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to UncleLickedDaddy? How long has the band been around?

Alex was in a band called “Those Meddling Kids” with his friend Camryn Nichols, none for Jakey. Technically about 2 years or so, but things are finally starting to gain traction.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

One time we were skyping and playing mine craft like young lads often do, and we were laughing at funny possible band names. Alex typed “UncleLickedDaddy” into the Skype chat and the rest is history. Never changed the name, never will (hopefully or I’ll cry).

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

I will come up with something terrible on drums and send it to Alex, or vice versa he sends me a guitar part, and we keep doing that and mashing things together in editing programs until we deem it acceptable to live up to our name. I write all lyrics for our material.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

Oranges (an incredible band from Las Vegas), Closure In Moscow and A Lot Like Birds will always inspire me, Alex really likes Sworn In (as well as the bands mentioned above). I was watching an interview with Jack Black in which he spoke about Tenacious D not striving to be a serious band due to the fact that there are already too many bands attempting to be amazing…But more often than not it turns out terribly.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

Nope, just me and my best friend having some fun ;) we just thought it would be cute/funny/metal/awesomesauce/epicftw

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

We have never played a show for anyone other than our dads (who indeed make us stretch before AND after we play) but if we were to play a show we would probably play Dance Dance Revolution to warm us up.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Any of the bands listed above, any Blue Swan Records band, Jesus probably shreds who knows.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

We love anyone who ever even looks at our page. We really do. New album Coalesce Dropping (hopefully) early this year. New music video for our first single is dropping very, very soon.
