For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to The Noble? How long has the band been around?
Prior to The Noble, Brandon played in Vanna, Isaac and Brandon both currently play in Lions Lions and Julian played in a band called Aminals(yes, it’s purposely spelled incorrectly).
The Noble started as a side project around 2015 but only recently have we started playing show and releasing music.
What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?
The origin of the name is really just the idea of trying to be noble human beings. The band name has never previously changed.
Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?
Our songs are written by Brandon and Jay(Jason). Our songs tend to touch base on overcoming struggles, equality amongst all people regardless of race, religion, social class or sexual orientation and the over all idea of trying to be the best version of yourself.
What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
We are inspired by Eighteen Visions, Black My Heart, On Broken Wings and Bury Your Dead.
Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
(Brandon answering this one) my first two concerts were Metallica at the Foxboro stadium and Thursday at the Worcester palladium. I’d say a combo of those two concerts made me want to play music at a professional level.
What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
Before shows we really just eat unhealthy food and complain about the fact that all shows these days have 67 bands on the lineup and how we miss going to/playing shows that only had 4 bands.
What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
We haven’t really done anything yet. Working on it haha.
If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
We would tour with Meshuggah, Metallica, Lamb of God, killswitch Engage, Foo Fighters, In Flames, Queen and Everytime I Die.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
We have a new EP called “Abolitionism” out 4/20/2018. If you picked it up, we’d be stoked!
