For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Skyburial? How long has the band been around?

Prior bands:

Shawn - The History Of Hope

Ricky - The Arturo Complex

Luke - Set Fire To Athens

The band has been together for a year and 2 months.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

The origin of the name came from a Tibetan death ritual. The name has never changed.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Ricky and Shawn are the primary song writers for the band. The topics are typically based around self hatred, angst and overall anger.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

The Faceless, Thy Art Is Murder, Signal The Firing Squad, Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

Not in particular. Just an overall love for music that pushed towards a desire to create and perform our own. We all have many different influences that helped mold that.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

Warm ups with our instruments/voices, some stretching and some of us take a shot to loosen up.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Overall.. The positive feedback and support we have received in the year we've played shows and recorded our EP.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Slipknot - incredibly huge audiences and get to share the stage with one of the greatest live bands ever.

Despised Icon - Incredible band that we would fit in with stylistically.

Every Time I Die - They just seem like they would be the most fun band to travel with.

Beneath The Massacre and Between The Buried And Me - Both bands just to be awe struck every night watching them play.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Big things to come. We're coming to take over. Thank you.
