Faith Beyond Fear
Above The Fall
Long Story Short
Look To The Sky
Silent Culture has been around for 3 years.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

We came up with the name Silent Culture in our old guitar players basement. The short version of the reason we picked that name is that we felt that a lot of people are afraid to speak their minds and be who they are because of the fact everyone is ready to judge and shoot them down. We feel like we live in what we call a Silent Culture. We want to have fun with our music and let people know that’s it’s cool to be who you are, to have you’re opinion and believe what you believe in without being judged.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Matt write the lyrics and the bed of the music. He brings it the rest of the band and everyone kind of puts their finger prints all over it to make them the songs they are today. We really just write about life, the good and the bad. We just want people to relate with what we do and to tell the emotions and have as much fun with the songs as we do.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

Colony House
Hippo Campus
Turnover
A Silent Film

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

There really wasn’t one band in particular, it was just our love and our passion for the music.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

We typically just find a quite place, pray and get in our zone to give the best show possible.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

A couple of the biggest highlight moments were when we got to open up for American Idol contestants Colton Dixon and Danny Gokey.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

If we could tour with any bands we’d have to say we would love to tour with Colony House,Hippo Campus and obviously bowling for soup because I mean those guys are great.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thanks for the interview!
