For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Revenge Season? How long has the band been around?

Jon was in Dog Years, Ryan was in Degradations, Kelly was in Pinion, and Mitch was in Good Thoughts.

Each band was around for a couple of years but never really did any heavy touring like RS has already so each one kind of just made a decision on what band they wanted to work with more.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

I (morgan) randomly came up with the name in my head and told myself i’d start a band with that name, so I did. We never changed it or anything.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Kelly wrote most of Eternal Despair. I help with adding little things here and there and with transitions as well as the other members. We aren’t really trying to sound like anyone, so the main goal is to combine all certain genres into our own sound. I don’t think it’s going to change, it’ll only progress.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

If we really HAD to name a band probably some of the stuff we are influenced by would be older hatebreed, but as we continue to write they progress more into a 90’s metalcore vibe. We’ve been happier and agreeing a lot more of things going that route.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

Just watching the act of hardcore, and dealing with so many emotions made me want to start and band to to let those emotions and expressions out, hoping people could relate just like I can to certain bands.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

I just try and warm up my voice the best as possible. I have trouble getting a clear voice on tour so that’s something i’m always trying to be aware of and sometimes i’ll just throw on I’ll Make A Man Out Of You from the Mulan sound track. That song gets me hyped.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Playing LDB fest in Louisville where the entire room turned into a warzone, and being asked to play this year’s New England Metal and Hardcore fest. Very honored to be apart of that.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Hatebreed, because SITDOD is one of the best hardcore records of all time, Slipknot because... SLIPKNOT. Current bands would have to say, Sanction, Vein, Chamber, Knocked Loose, Counterparts, Vicious Embrace or Year of The Knife. Just all friends out there with great bands killing it.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Start bands, go on tour, experience an outside perspective of life. Don’t let anyone tell you what you are, who you are, and what you can and cannot do. Listen to Chamber.
