Please list all of your band members and their roles in the band.

Jake Brown: Main Vocals, Rhythm Guitar

Mike Klein: Drums, Backup Vocals

Christian Danner: Lead Guitar, Backup Vocals

Quade Maximoff: Bass

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Rebuild & Rebound? How long has the band been around?

The band has actually been around since 2011 with Jake, Quade, and Mike, but went under a different name,  A Profitable Failure; then it was changed to Rebuild & Rebound in 2012.  Christian, who was just a musician they met, joined in 2013 and it’s been the same line up ever since.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

The guitar player that was in the band before Christian proposed the idea, unbeknownst to the rest of the band that it actually was a lyric from a The Story So Far song.  It was changed in 2012 from A Profitable Failure to Rebuild & Rebound.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Jake writes a lot of the material, but we try to incorporate the entire band in the writing process.  It makes the songs more enjoyable to play and record, plus it makes us feel closer as a band.  The songs message that we try to get across is, positivity, plain and simple.  In a music industry dominated by music that has a sad feeling to it, positivity has a harder time being represented, and we like to represent it.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

Mayday Parade, All Time Low, The Cab, The Maine, You Me At Six, A Day To Remember, Pierce The Veil, PVRIS, August Burns Red,  Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, and so many more.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

Everything we listened to growing up really had an impression on us, though it was definitely the band All Time Low that has kept the dream alive for us.  Just the good time and positive attitudes that they have kept and projected over the years has been a constant source of hope and motivation.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, etc …

We usually do vocal exercises, do a bit of stretching, but what we do is dependant on the show that night, but we keep the environment light and carefree.  We are doing this all because we enjoy it and have fun with it, and being on stage is just another extension of that, like hanging out watching a game or going out to eat.  We have a good time, make jokes, and make sure that everyone with us has a good time too.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Our biggest highlight lately was our Midwest, East Coast, and Southern tour earlier this year, and releasing our first music video for our song Consider This (A Little Less Obvious).

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

It would be a mega tour consisting of: Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, & All Time Low.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

Thanks to Kill The Music for having us and everyone for checking us out. We hope you enjoy our new music video for ‘Consider This (A Little Less Obvious)’.
