For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Lydia Can't Breathe? How long has the band been around?

AJ. and Shad are in Shattering Silence who have been playing for 13 years

Kyle, Ryan, and Shad are in another project Called Pariahs For Hire for 1 year

Ryan is in another band called Vertebreaker who have been together for 4 years

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

Lydia is the main character in the movie Beetlejuice that's where we got the name.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

The songs on the previous 2 albums were written by Kyle and the previous guitar player. The album we're currently writing Tastes New was written with Kyle and the 2 new guitar players AJ and Ryan. The songs themselves are about stuff we have delt with in our lives or things that just happen to everybody from time to time.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

System of a Down, Between the Buried and Me, Slipknot, All Shall Perish, Avenge Sevenfold, Within the Ruins.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

The Beatles, the way they captivated their audiences and inspired so many people made us want to do the same.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

Kyle does a vocal exercise called the Zen of Scream before every show, AJ makes sure to stretch and takes a smoke break before every show.

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

The band has done a few big tours with Mushroomhead ,Otep, HED(pe), Ill Nino, Snot and played a festival with Asking Alexandria, however, were really looking forward to our upcoming album Tastes New we think it's really going to be amazing.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Past: Led Zeppelin to experience the awe of the rock n roll greatness

Present: Slipknot for their draw and reputation in the music scene today.
