For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Fear The Fallen?

Loads, really. We’ve all done our fair share of smaller bands. For instance, Sam played in a Britney Spears tribute band, Dan played in a young covers band around the UK from the age of 11 and Rob and Matt have too many to mention. They have been doing it for a looooong time.

How long has the band been around? What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before? 

The band formed in 2010 and the name came 10 minutes before our first show! It’s stuck with us ever since.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Dan, for the most part. Our songs have a lot of different meanings, but they all come from our own experiences. For example, the music for “L.O.W.” was written in an alcohol fuelled frenzy and “Fade Away” was written after the passing of Dan’s Grandpa.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making? 

A lot really, but mainly Alter Bridge, TesseracT, Linkin Park and Architects. 

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band? What do you do to prepare for a show? 

Not in particular, music has always been in our lives. Before a show, we all have our own rituals but all come together and have a brief chat (checking battery and alcohol supplies) before we go on stage.

 What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far? 

Isle of Wight was pretty fun? Even though Matt was passed out for the majority of it... Can drummers stay awake for festivals? As a wise man once said - “nope”.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why? 

Linkin Park - God rest Chester’s soul.
