For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Destinova? How long has the band been around?

Nine years ago Tim and Thomas start this Band with Alessandro Serafino the first drummer. In 2012 Steffen joined the band. He was member of the local punk band 'S.O.S'. For the upcoming tour Robert Ort will pla the drums. He was member of the local band 'John Doe'

What's the origin of that name and have you changed the band's name before?

The first name was 'Poetry Fact'. In 2015 the band changed the name to 'Destinova' to get on a new level ind can be interpreted as 'New Destiny'

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

The instrumental parts are written by Thomas and Steffen. So the most Song ideas came when they jam on their own. Tim or Stevo will add the lyrics. In the past the songs are about us and our dreams. To be on the road and on stage every night is our biggest dream. On our new Album it changed to that point that the topics are about our thoughts about this world and things we experienced.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you're making?

It's a long list filled with acts like alice in chains, foo fighters, incubus, rin toshite shigure, maximum the hormone or nirvana. But its not a decision to do something like them or to copy the style. 

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

I think we don't have an idol why we start to do music. It was like everyone got his own experience what was a special moment in our lives. For example Thomas found once an old selfmade book from the kindergarden time. On once site he wrotes that his biggest dream is that he likes to be a rockstar in future.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect?

Before we go on stage we try to come down. We don't talk a lot to each other and everyone just focus on him. We do some warm up and exercises for the voice. So we are ready for the first note and be on 100%

What has been the biggest highlight of the band's career so far?

Our first tour in england. It was an amazing feeling to play every day in front of a crowd which loves music. The people had no idea what we are doing so every night was a complete surprise. Thats why we are lucky to get back to the UK in december.

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Well there are a lot of bands we would love to play with. But we never waste time just to think what is cool or which bands are in our dreams. There is just one band we often thought like wow that would be cool guys to tour with. Cause we know them and they are our friends from our hometown. The Band is called 'Gamble on Hiob'

Support local music and give us a chance when you got the right moment to listen to our music
