For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to Dark Rain? How long has the band been around?

Strictly Business, Vendetta, Dark Shadow Dark Rain has been around since 2011 we were a band when we were way younger but went our separate ways and only got back together in 2011

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

the bands name is named after the song Dark Rain off our last cd. its meant to describe nuclear fallout Who writes your songs? The primary lyric writers are Dudley and Kelleigh, most of the music is Dudley and Brian

What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Life , love, living in a fucked up world, very occasionally a politically themed, or just a party song

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

Metallica, Volbeat, Halestorm, Pantera, Chevelle

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?

Dudley: I just was very into the whole hair metal thing when I was younger, and wanted to be a part of it

Devin: my mom used to take me to her friends house where they were having band rehearsal, and it made me want to play the drums What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

Bill: Take the edge off with a joint

Devin: Clear my head as much as possible

Dudley: I do a mental walkthrough of the set

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Dudley: Opening for 80s rockers Firehouse and 90s rockers Sponge they were both class acts that talked shop and had great road stories and advice

Devin: opening for Dope and Hed PE for my first gig . playing the Aura in Portland to almost 1000 people If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Dudley: I'd love to tour with the Eagles they are one of the greatest bands, or Metallica in the early days as they were developing

Bill: Any of the hairbands or hard rock bands
