Please list all of your band members and their roles in the band. 

As Thick As Thieves is comprised of Nate Butcher on Vocals, Kenny Barton and Zachary Banks on Guitar, Ryan Robles on Bass Guitar and Ryan Mabee on Drums and Backing Vocals.

For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to (insert band/artist name here)? How long has the band been around?

Kenny and Zachary have been exclusive to As Thick As Thieves, however, Nate was the front man for The Artifact. Ryan Robles was a member of Before I Wake and Ryan Mabee was the Drummer/Vocalist for Loren Battle for the better part of a decade.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

The name is attributed to the brotherhood we have for one another in the music scene and the lifestyle we lead. At least, that's what I always thought. I believe the name has always been ATAT.

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time?

Our writing process is very collaborative. Sometimes someone has an idea or riff that we build off of or sometimes it happens during a spontaneous jam session. Everyone contributes in some way.

What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?

We are very connected to classic rock bands, however it is life experiences more than bands that inspire our music.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band? 

We all attended some of the first Warped Tour festivals growing up as well as other big rock shows. Seeing such a gigantic sea of people and the energy and atmosphere surrounding them is sure to kindle the rockstar dreams of any musician, including us.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …

We always stretch and do vocal warm ups. Every band should! Our shows are very physical, almost like running a short marathon, and we don't want to injure ourselves. We want to be doing this for a long time!

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?

Touring with Escape The Fate, who are made up of some of our close friends, as well as doing small runs with a handful of other amazing bands has been an absolute blast!

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?

Touring with any band who has a passion for rock n roll and a love for the road would be a welcomed adventure!
