For starters, what bands were you guys a part of prior to All The Locals? How long has the band been around?
We all came from different backgrounds rock n roll/blues clubs, or the gospel church. However, Ty, Johnny, Justin have been playing together since grade school. All The Locals, in it's current lineup, have been together since 2016. However, Ty, Johnny started the group back in 2012.

What’s the origin of that name and have you changed the band’s name before?

It has always been All The Locals, hence our hometown acronym ATL. The second, just as significant meaning stems from the idea that, "when traveling to any city, people want to go where all the locals go...to either eat, drink, hangout, etc."

Who writes your songs? What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs and do you think these topics will change over time? What bands are currently inspiring the music that you’re making?
Johnny writes the lyrics, as he has done since childhood, and we all arrange the songs in collective chemistry.
The topics and references are always random. However on this particular new EP Something She Poured, the talk of alcohol, crime, kids, love at first sight, coping with conflicted loved ones and self acceptance are the most prevalent topics. No other bands directly inspire our sound, however we collect a lot of innate muse from acts like Coldplay, Jonny Lang, Allman Brothers, John Mayer, Outkast, Beatles, Zeppelin, Paul Simon, Ray Lamontagne, Zac Brown, Ryan Adams, Sturgill Simpson, and many other regional heros. We listen to it all, and we project in our southern, soulful way.

Was there a particular band/artist or concert that inspired you to start a band?
That's different for all the locals in the group, however its hard to not feel the love, when you were born where half of the worlds favorites artists and genres came from, the south of USA.
For instance, Johnny and Justin have been in a band since they were ten, and before that,'Elvis' might as well have been the leader of their free world.

What do you do to prepare for a show? Any flexing, exercises, ect …
Hopefully soundcheck...which in our history has been about a 50/50, we've learned to play solid in the sh**tiest and nicest venues. Gotta start from the bottom right...well some of us 😉
But in all seriousness, we just try and make sure everyone is in the best mood they can be in, so we can have the most productive fun. For some that's laughing, eating, smokin', or hugs, ya know 😉

What has been the biggest highlight of the band’s career so far?
-Winning the GA Entertainment Music Award in front of a few thousand people and our mayor, last year.
-2nd, winning Touchtunes Breakout Band, performing in NYC (you know those juke boxes). You can even here us at your local waffle house, how cool?!
-SXSW, CMJ fest
- getting a blue check on fb hahaha
-landing awesome mgmt during a dark time
-selling out a show outside you hometown (Birmingham was the 1st)
..hell, there's many little things :)

If you could tour with any bands, past or present, who would they be and why?
Tom Petty, Sir Paul, John Mayer, Billy Joel, Jonny Lang, Coldplay to name a few..

Is there anything else you would like to add?
Stream us any where after July 14th and enjoy the new EP Something She Poured!
