Track By Track: History On Repeat -So Long, Future Boy

History on Repeat's only release has aged remarkably well, nods to the Drive Thru Records era on show with emotive & catchy pop-laden hooks, with the urgency and accessibility of more contemporary indie-punk renaissance also evident. We asked the band to tell us about each track. Check out their commentary on the album below.

Our Season is a love anthem. Trying to explain that you’ve grown up, that moment you find yourself really ready to make something work. That exact moment when nothing feels right in life and you’re unsure of its outcome, but you’re positive that you know where your heart is at.

Run Home Jack is about a person upset with things in life and relying on alcohol to get them through it. While living in this state felt like a constant drowning, they finally found the pieces to put their life back together.

Nice Catch, Blanco Nino is about feeling like everything is going wrong. Everything has fallen apart and you’ve found yourself ignoring the things that matter the most. But soon enough we must come to the conclusion that the only way to move forward successfully in this life is to make a change, a change that's for the best.

I've Got News is about not understanding why someone should have to move on from the things they love in life, just because they are told to or were raised with a different lifestyle standard. This song is all about deciding who you want to be in life and knowing it’s all on you to get to wherever that is. This life is way too short to give up on what we love the most.
