Track By Track: Condition Baker - Condition Baker

Condition Baker is a 90's pop punk influenced band that likes long walks on the beach. Their debut album, Condition Baker came out October 26th. For the occasion, we asked the band to tell us about each track. Their commentary on the album can be seen below.

Blood, Sweat, and Tears

This song is about a former band splitting up while working on an album. Simply a song that was an outlet to let out all frustrations. This was also the first song ever recorded and released by Condition Baker.

Surfaway

This song is a mix of "Buddy Holly" by Weezer, "Rockaway Beach" by the Ramones, and "Tourettes" by Nirvana. Also coming from New England, where one day it's hot as balls out and cold the next, "Surfaway" is our little sarcastic joke song.

Fuck That

This song is a mix of many things, and probably the most punk song in our catalog. It's anti-government, angry, and just a big "fuck you" to the little rich kids who study at Yale and use daddy's credit card to buy a Gucci belt. It's also a song that is written for Middle and Lower class people of America who are trying to make ends meet.

Meet Your Demands

This one is the oldest song written, Alec wrote this when he was a Junior in high school. It was also a song originally written for his old band, and they would play it live a couple of times. It was a song that was too good to be thrown away. It's about being in a relationship with someone who walks over you and takes you for granted.

Shipwreck

This song was influenced by a friend of the band, who was going through a real rough patch. This was another old one that was originally written for Alec's old band, but had to be released.

Hanging On You

This song is a real sappy one. It's about putting trust in someone and saying that you'll be there, through thick and thin. It was the last song added to the recording process and was originally going to be scrapped. This one is arguably the most popular among listeners.

Make Amends

The closer to our debut album. Alec wrote this during his first semester in college. It's about growing up and facing the music of the real world.
