Kill The Music

This Day In Music History: May 2nd

On May 2, 1991 legendary rock group Nirvana booked Sound City Studios for 16 days to record new music. The band worked with Butch Vig to produce the album and had a budget of $65,000. The album you ask? None other than one of their most popular albums "Nevermind." A year later on May 2, 1992 the band had a law-suit filed against them by a band of the same name in the UK claiming they'd had that name since 1968. The ordeal was settled outside of court and ruled in the favor of the UK band.
