This Day In Music History: April 19th

In light of this past weekends Record Store Day, the only appropriate option for today's This Day in Music History comes from April 19th, 2008 which is marked as the very first Record Store Day. The idea came from a group of independent record stores coming together and trying to spread awareness and celebrate this beautiful and historical form of media. The very first Record Store Day was honored with an appearance from Metallica who spent the day meeting fans at Rasputin Music in San Francisco and since then the likes of Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, and Dave Grohl have carried the same honor.
