The Hives announce secret show in NYC on 4/26!

The Hives follow their explosive Coachella gigs with an intimate, special performance for fans at a top secret location in NYC on Thursday April 26. The band will slowly reveal the venue exclusively with Brooklyn Vegan today, and the first 10 people to correctly guess the location will win a pair of tickets to the performance. The Hives’ new album Lex Hives is due out June 5. The rowdy first single “Go Right Ahead” is streaming at Rolling Stone, and will be released as a limited edition 7” this Saturday in honor of Record Store Day. A summer tour in the U.S. will also be announced in the coming weeks.

 

Their performance at Coachella was widely regarded as a festival highlight. Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist enticed the entire crowd of thousands to sit down during their last song, then rise back up en masse. Here is what the press is saying about the show:
