It's an amazing experience to go to a concert, but to see a band in an intimate setting is even better. Anti-Flag have been around for about 22 years now, but they still have the same energy they had back in the 90's. The band is from Pittsburgh, so naturally they annouced an intimate show at The Smiling Moose with a capacity of only 100 people in support of thier new album. 

The openers all had fantastic energy and included Hidden Hospitals, Mace Ballard and The Code. The amazing thing about The Smiling Moose is the band had to walk through the crowd to get to the small stage. Chris #2 and Justin Sane stood in the crowd during all of the openers. Around 8:15, the remaining members joined the crowd and headed to the stage. 

The band started out with a bang playing a song named "The Sky Is Falling" off thier new album "American Spring" . The band played with a very garage show feel, including the crowd in all of thier songs. While debuting about 6 new songs off of thier new album they also played all of the fan favorites. They played for about an hour with a setlist of about 15 songs.

I'm going to give this show a 10 out of 10 stars. It was amazing to see Anti-Flag getting back to thier roots of a 100 person shows and making it like a basement show. To hear a band still performing as well as they did 20 years ago is almost unheard of these days and I'm glad to see Anti-Flag still rocking out. I highly recommend checking them out on thier upcoming tour and to preorder thier new album.
