While She Sleeps are a 5-piece metalcore band from the UK. Originally formed in 2006, they only have 3 albums all together as of now. It has been 3 years since the release of 2012's hardcore hit, This Is The Six. Let's take look at their newest album, Brainwashed , and see if the band is still as hardcore as the last release. 

The first song on the album, "The Divide", sounds what seems to be a large crowd at a concert or a mob of angry people. This is a fantastic intro to the 2nd song, "New World Torture", which immediately blasts in with hardcore instrumentals and the vocalist harsh voice. The balance between clean and unclean vocals in this song are perfect and show a lot of improvement for the last album. 

Just this combination sets the whole mood for the album. There's no break in this album; it's all powerful lyrics and amazing instrumentals. I can definitely  tell they are influenced partly by Linkin Park's harder material mixed with Terror's signature "Bring down the house" sound. My favorite song on the album was the first they released, "Four Walls". This song shows off all of the progress the band had made and was a teaser to what the album was going to offer, 

The album as a whole is very underrated. These musicians have most likely worked on this album since the last and it shows. Overall, I'm going to give this album a solid 8 out of 10 stars. It shows a lot of improvement from the last album and takes the band in a whole new direction. They've brought a whole new dynamic that I'm excited to hear them expand upon in future releases. Below I have linked the song "Four Walls" if you'd like to check them out!
