"American Standards" is a hardcore punk band from Phoenix, Arizona. They released a brilliant EP back in May 30, 2014. If you have not listened to it, you are missing out! I can listen to this EP repeatedly. Be sure to check out the cool physical copies they have on their Bandcamp!

“Casket Party” is the first track of this EP and I love the noisy guitar riffs played by Corey Skowronski and rough screaming vocals by Brandon Kellum. They pull off having noisy breakdowns but they add a nice pop punk vibe in this track by having a chanting chorus that would get the crowd screaming when they have live shows!

Speaking of live shows, "American Standard" is about to have a few shows with “Stay Wild”. If you are near one of the venues they will be playing, definitely come out to one. I am excited to hear future releases by this band and excited to listen to all the past releases! 

I rate this EP a 7 out of 10. I wish this EP was a little longer but it was a nice preview for future releases!
