My Deepest Dream Releases New Single “Stratagem”
After a few member changes, Chicago’s My Deepest Dream has shed their post-hardcore sound for a more natural groove metal sound. While their original sound received them all of their quick success, the band was not happy with the direction the band was taking and saw the member changes as a way to move on to a more natural sound and in the direction the band had wanted to do down in the beginning. To showcase the new sound, the band is streaming their newest single, “Stratagem,” on YouTube and fans may also buy the single off of iTunes.
Since forming in April of 2011, My Deepest Dream has quickly erupted up the ranks. Within the first week on Facebook the band had over 1,000 “Likes” and is currently nearing 8,000. The band recorded Beginnings with Drew Fulk of Thinksound Studios (Decoder, At The Skylines, Advent) and saw quick success with the release before touring on the “Rock Yourself To Sleep Tour.” The tour featured Alesana, Memphis May Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, A Skylit Drive, and Attila and saw the band playing in front of thousands of people each night.
On April 30th, 2012 My Deepest dream debuted their brand new single, that was produced and mastered at Chango Studios (Sleeping With Sirens, Woe, Is Me, Memphis May Fire, I See Stars), entitled “Me, Myself, & Loneliness.” The band then went through some lineup changes in Summer 2012 in which they also changed their direction into more of the groove metal spectrum. On December 5th, 2012 My Deepest Dream debuted their new sound with their newest single “Stratagem
