Harroway Release Haunting New Single "Burn It All" From Upcoming EP

Sydney metalcore quintet Harroway share haunting new single Burn It All, as the second single to be pulled from the band's debut EP, 'I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore', out Friday April 28. Watch the video for Burn It All below

Produced mixed and mastered by Mark Williamson at Keywork Audio (Inertia, Closure, After Touch), Burn It All slows things down a little bit, sharing a dynamic mix of clean vocals and powerful screams, lyrically exploring how entering a relationship without first working on oneself can be detrimental.

"Beginning a relationship without being in a healthy place yourself can sometimes lead to dependency on a partner for happiness and self worth, to the point where you potentially smother them and push them away," explains vocalist Matt Banks. "Because you put so much value on the relationship for your own happiness, when they leave you feel as if there’s something wrong with you and begin to discard the good parts and change into something unfamiliar to survive."

Previous single Parasite released in March as the bands first release of 2023 and came equipped with devastating breakdowns, moody vocal melodies and contrasting raw vocals. The track delves into the nature of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and how living with the disorder can affect loved ones.

The 'I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore' EP continues with these themes, offering a personal glimpse into the experience's of vocalist Banks and guitarist Josh Gemmal after being diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Both were diagnosed after going through adolescence and early adulthood not understanding what was causing the chaos in their lives.

Following the release of Harroways upcoming EP 'I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore', the band will embark on a May headline tour in support of their mammoth release. The tour will visit Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane supported by post-hardcore group Alera, before Harroway round out their tour at Darwin's TL - Two Festival with Make Them Suffer, Starve, Sedative, We Burn Bridges and more. Tickets on sale now.

Harroway is Matt Banks (vocals), Joshua Gemmal (guitar), Anthony Carnell (guitar), Jordan Sheriff (bass) and Jack Palmer (drums). The five-piece made an impression last year as they worked towards mastering their craft with the release of singles, Sleep and Impluse. Off the back of these, Harroway hit the ground running and locked in multiple tours across Australia’s east coast. 2022 saw the band launch into three east coast tours, one of which saw the band jump up as main support for Perth’s Patient Sixty-Seven on their 'Wishful Thinking' album tour of Australia, where Wall of Sound coined Harroway: “One of the best new talents in the scene”.

The boys weren’t quite ready to round out the year there, adding multiple festival appearances to their resumé, including the Blue Mountains Winter Magic Revival Festival where they found themselves featuring on a lineup alongside mainstream artists such as Haiku Hands, Urthboy and Hermitude as well as fellow alternative bands Clay J Gladstone and Bare Bones. Harroway also joined Sydney's In Peril Festival, where they shared the stage with Bloom, Belle Haven, Alt. and more.

Harroway have collated their strongest offerings to date on forthcoming EP, 'I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore' and look towards an even bigger 2023. Burn It All and Parasite are available and streaming now on all platforms. 'I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore' will be available Friday April 28.
