Guest Blog: Noah Jack and The Story Behind "Neighborhood"

I wrote Neighborhood about two years ago. The song is about a lot, but Neighborhood is mostly about my family back home in Park Ridge Illinois. The song talks about the images in my neighborhood. The songs lyrics are about the people in my hometown and how they impacted me in my life. I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2 and the song is a thank you letter to all of the people who helped me. The people in my life really impacted me and made me the person I am today. I started recording the song on my birthday on January early this year.

The recording process was very long, but the song is just the way I wanted. I am so happy to share the song with everyone, and I hope I can share the song to more people and share my story to everyone. When we started the recording process we had a different direction in mind. The song was going to have a Ballad feel, but after changing the structure of the song; it changed to a feel-good song. The song to me is about a lot, but what it is mostly about is Family. Family is the most important thing to me, and with this song I wanted to capture the spirit of my family and friends back home.
