Fighting the Villain is a female fronted Progressive Rock band hailing from Hayward, CA. With their pop-infused vocals and progressive instrumentation, the band instantly grabs a wide spectrum of listeners.

Last year, their follow up single “The Great Charlatan,” produced by Erik Ron was released. Mae explains, “The song is inspired by true events. The name, “Charlatan” (also called swindler or mountebank) is a person practicing quackery or some similar confidence trick in order to obtain money, fame or other advantages via some form of pretense or deception. It is about someone who deceived us in the past, and how it doesn’t really affect us today.”
